Our $1 Million Pledge to Keep Our Parks Fresh & Divert Nearly 10 Million Single-Use Plastic Bottles from Landfills Annually

Since 1946, Tupperware has been synonymous with minimizing waste before it begins with quality, environmentally friendly reusable products. We believe there is no time to waste when it comes to preserving our planet including the more than 400 national parks, historic sites, recreation areas and trails across the United States. In October 2020, we pledged $1 million to the National Park Foundation. Our funding will equip the National Park Service with new water refill stations, as well as composting and recycling infrastructure and waste reduction education across the country.

To combat single-use plastic bottle waste, our funding will support the installation of more than 65 water refill stations at various parks including Castillo de San Marco National Monument (Florida), Great Basin National Park (Nevada), the National Mall and Memorial Parks (Washington, D.C.) and others.

At Great Basin National Park and Yellowstone National Park (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming), our support will improve signage to help visitors recycle properly and fund the purchase of new recycling sorting stations.

To decrease food waste, we will support projects at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park (Alaska) and Grand Canyon National Park (Arizona) that improve the parks’ composting initiatives, including the addition of solar panels needed to operate the full-time food waste-composting program.

We are excited to see how our pledge and support for the National Park Foundation is coming to life with these critical projects across the National Park System. Our partnership is based on the shared belief that together, we can nurture a better future if we find new and innovative solutions to reduce waste and increase environmental stewardship.

Reduce waste now & for years to come

Thank you so much for all of your support! With your help, we donated $9,000 to National Park Foundation on Giving Tuesday. This donation will further support efforts to improve waste management and recycling infrastructure in our parks – we couldn’t have done it without you.
